CC-EV is one of the vehicles available in the game Hill Climb Racing 2.

Overview[ | ]

The CC-EV is an electrical vehicle that was designed by Doc. Shocks and released on the 25th of October 2021 to celebrate Bill's 9th birthday. It stands for "Climb Canyon Electric Vehicle". Its colour is a combination of a bright orange and electric blue and it was added in the 1.47 update.

This vehicle has a top speed of 21.1 m/s (76 km/h), which is well below average for a vehicle of its price class. Contrary to this, it builds a charge while driving and braking (braking or not using pedals charges faster), so it's important that you brake or release pedals when needed, and when charged enough, can be released by holding down one pedal and double-tapping the other. The maximum amount of charge is indicated by the headlights glowing. When released, it gives a burst of speed (similar to the Tuning Part Overcharged Turbo), and provides an extra boost of power (similar to Hot Rod) as well as excellent aerodynamics, which (without extra bursts) can send the vehicle going up to 28.6 m/s (103 km/h), making it the second fastest vehicle in the game, only beaten by the Racing Truck. This also doesn't drain fuel (unlike the boost of Hot Rod), and doesn't require running power to charge. This can be used for stunt jumps, climbing hills, winning races, and more. This, along with the decent Battery size and awesome Kangaroo, make it an excellent vehicle in Adventure, even capable of getting over 100km in Mines!

Despite all the pros, this vehicle is not very good at climbing hills, as it has a high center of mass and relatively low grip. Even with parts like wheelie boost and winter tires, the vehicle cannot climb hills well unless well upgraded. Maintaining a good momentum and using the charged boost are key to be able to climb hills effectively.

This vehicle is in ways similar to the Rally Car, as the vehicle has a hood and roof, as well as a similar suspension and dimensions. Unfortunately, the hood is difficult to break, as it needs to hit a unique object to break, and it can be hard to do in some maps. The roof is fragile (like on the Super Diesel and Racing Truck.) The vehicle also has a Rollcage tuning part, which fits inside and makes up for its roof when equipped, similar to the Rally Car. This is the only vehicle in the game that can equip a rollcage with the original roof.

The CC-EV has less parts available than most vehicles, as it is an electric vehicle. It has 2 epic parts, the Landing Boost and the Spoiler. 2 legendary parts, those being the Coin Boost and Thrusters, are a good addition to the Vehicle. Afterburner, Fume and Fuel Boost, are meant only for Fuel vehicles. With an upgradable battery, Thrusters is a lucky tuning part to have. The Kangaroo setup on CC-EV is really useful in Cups, Time Trials (Especially 1000m maps), and Adventure.

Trivia[ | ]

  • The CC-EV was the first ever vehicle in Hill Climb Racing 2 to get 100,000 meters in an adventure map. Because of this, the leaderboards' max digits was increased from 5 to 6 (The first 100km did not pop up on the leaderboard).
  • The CC-EV is the only true electric vehicle in HCR2.
  • When the boost is activated, it's wheels set fire on the ground, which extinguishes soon after (This also works in Rustbucket Reef and water sources in any map).
  • CC-EV stands for "Climb Canyon Electric Vehicle"
  • CC-EV actually looks like a scientific car that uses energy from a giant battery in its chassis.
