What are chests?
Chests are unlockable items that contain random prizes of varying quality based on the rarity of the chest. These can contain everything from coins and gems to tuning parts and player skins/vehicle paints. They can also give certain vehicles.
How to get chests
Chests are awarded to the player for almost every activity in Hill Climb Racing 2.
You can obtain chests in: Adventure, Adventure Trove Chests, Cups, Daily Tasks, Trophy Road, Teams, Public Event, Community Showcase, Featured Challenges, Daily Rewards and Shop.
You also get a free chest three times a day (every 8 hours)! You can also watch 3 videos every 8 hours to get 3 free chests.
You can also purchase chests in the store for a fixed gem or coin cost, but there is no guarantee you will get the items you want within.
The VIP chest which is available once every 24 hours to VIP players contains the same contents as Common Chests, but with better chance to get customization and more coins. It also guaranteed to contain 60 gems each time it is opened.
Rarity
While the contents of chests are random, higher rarity chests have a much higher chance to drop items of higher rarity. Some also have guaranteed amounts of items of a particular rarity. The contents of the chests, their drop rarity and the costs in shop also scales up as the player ranks up.
Chests from winning cups follow a sequence consisting of 111 cups.
Chest types
Note: Chests GFX and Animation were changed in 1.67.0 update
Whenever you look at the chest information, the numbers you see represent the minimum possible drop items from each chest. It is possible to randomly be awarded more items of any rarity in any chest, however the better the chest, the higher the chance of better parts dropping becomes.
Customizations and Driver Animations are randomized from all items in that rarity . If a randomized skin or vehicle customization or driver animation is already owned, additional coins are given instead. This can include Common, Rare or Epic customizations, or Common or Rare Driver Animations. Please note that Legendary vehicle customizations and Epic & Legendary Driver Animations are not included in the randomization pool. The only way to obtain these are by buying them with real money (Special Offers, Bundles or Premium-Pass), OR winning them via the trophy road or a public event. Mythic customisation can never be given in a chest.
ALSO, PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU CANNOT OBTAIN MORE THAN ONE CUSTOMIZATION OR DRIVER ANIMATION AT ONCE. YOU ONLY CAN OBTAIN: ONE HEAD, ONE HAT, ONE BODY, ONE SET OF LEGS, ONE SPECIAL ITEM (EXTREMELY RARE), ONE PAINT, ONE SET OF WHEELS, OR ONE DRIVER ANIMATION FROM ONE CHEST (EPIC AND LEGENDARY ANIMATIONS ARE NOT INCLUDED).
Note: Legendary Customizations of each different legendary character/driver are only obtainable from Champion Chests, Legendary Chests, or High Level Team Chests. You cannot obtain them from a lower level chest.
Team Chest rewards are listed here (These are the legendary rank rewards, anything below legendary 1 will not get as many parts out of a chest)

- After opening the daily chest, it will be re-obtainable in 24 hours. It means that after you got 10 wins, the chest will be unavailable and you must wait. It can be of 3 levels: level 1 (from 1 to 9 Win Streak), level 2 (from 10 to 19 Win Streak) and level 3 (from 20+ Win Streak)
- You can stack up to 2 daily chests if you miss it on one day.
- If you don't open 3 video chests within 8hrs (or before the next free chest is available), the process will reset and you'll have 3 video chests remaining again.
- FS chest is given directly by Fingersoft and you can open it after watching an FS official ad.

Daily Rewards
In 1.52.0 update, Daily Rewards added. Daily rewards allows you to get free rewards everyday! To claim your reward, go to shop. Go to Daily deals section and claim your reward! As you play the game every day, you can unlock things like Coins, Gems, Chests, Scrap, and Special Tickets.
Prior to the 1.64.0 update, Daily Rewards appears as a pop-up in-game and it used to have a 28 day cycle, which means you will know what you going to get next.
With the 1.64.0 update, Daily Rewards now moved to the shop and daily rewards are now random which means you will not know what you going to get next, here is list of possible rewards you can get:

Season Bonus Chest
Players who complete the monthly trophy road (50,000 points) and own a Premium Pass will be awarded the Season Bonus Chest. The chest will level up with every 1,000 additional points up to a maximum of level 200, within a single season.

Team Chest Distance Rewards
Players who are in a team have an opportunity to open a chest once per week and get rewards based on the distance traveled by the whole team throughout the week. Note: your km count towards this chest if you're playing online. You can contribute a maximum of 2500km per week. To see which rewards you get, when opening the chest, you can check this list.
Team Spirit Chest
When you upgrade your Team Spirit, you will be awarded one Team Spirit Chest each time, the parts you can get from the chest is depending on the current team event vehicles. The chest is equivalent to an epic chest.
Mega Chest
Players who don't have VIP subscription, have a Mega Chest with 5 types of reward given after watching from 1 to 10 ads. Moreover, from 1.63.0 update, you get from x1.0 to x2.0 Reward multiplier by watching 10 ads every day (like a Win Streak).
