Hot Rod is one of the Vehicles available in the game Hill Climb Racing 2. == Overview == The PAGENAME is a dangerous but also fast vehicle, boasting a top speed of 26 m/s (93 km/h). Like the Formula, Superbike and Supercar, it has a very small fuel tank. It has a unique engine, however, as instead of a Turbo, it has a Supercharger. Its suspension is quite weak compared to other vehicles, but it was implemented with a special ability: Overheating the supercharger. Maintaining full boost for over half a second will overheat the engine, giving the vehicle an immense acceleration boost, but also increases the fuel consumption. You'll notice that the screen and boost gauge will turn red, and the boost gauge will shake violently, like when Overcharged Turbo is activated. The boost works similar to the Afterburner Tuning Part. However, it doesn't start heating up right away like Afterburner. If you overheat the engine for 1.5 seconds, your engine will blow up, turning the engine off for 1 second. You can do this three times; the 2nd time will disable rear wheel drive, the supercharger intake will fly off, and extra sparks will be emitted from the engine, and after the third time, the engine of the Hot Rod explodes, and it gets split in two parts (back and front) and the driver will jump off the car and die when hitting the ground. This ability can't be deactivated and will always be part of the PAGENAME. This makes the Hot Rod less suitable for Adventure mode, but all the more useful in Time Trials and Cups. It accelerates fast to its top speed due to the overheating ability, but also uses fuel quickly due to it. It is good at climbing hills due to the overheating ability. You cannot use Afterburner or Overcharged Turbo because of its supercharger setup. Hot Rod is one of the most aerodynamic vehicles in the game due to its supercharger, so it is best on time trial maps with powerful winds like Glacier-related themes. This vehicle has a cabin assembly by default, top and bottom, a strong one, which is a good advantage for tracks with many roofs or even tracks with the Mines theme. Hard Landings cause the Hot Rod's cabin to loosen and break. Part of the Supercharger breaks off when the top breaks off, and the vehicle is boosted forward significantly when this happens. The Hot Rod becomes lighter and more aerodynamic when the cabin is gone. As for Parts, the Hot Rod only has 10 parts (The second least amount for any vehicle). The Hot Rod lacks Wings due to the vehicle's mechanics and Supercharger. The vehicle has Jump Shocks and Landing Boost, but since the suspension is really bad, the Jump Shocks are really weak, making the Kangaroo bad. The Landing Boost is good, and Coin Boost is almost always used to substitute the missing Wings. Magnet is incredibly useful in Cups and Time Trials, as you can collect Coins and Fuels for big boosts. Fuel Boost is the most powerful part on Hot Rod. The vehicle's Power is the second lowest in the game, only summing up to 334. ==Unlockables== See Vehicle Paints List for pictures and more information. The Hot Rod comes with 13 paints and 13 wheels that are obtainable (VIP paint and wheels aren't included). After purchasing, it has a free yellow paint and red wheels to start with. == Trivia == * The Hot Rod was a disaster when it came out in March 2020. When you blew the engine 3 times, the car will also be destroyed and will cause "Driver Down" sequence instantly after driver touched the ground. Also, overheating the supercharger would drain a lot more fuel back then compared to now. That was also fixed in the same update. * Its rollcage, although relatively fragile and prone to immediate dislodgement on a hard landing, can withstand a single impact at very high speeds, unlike other vehicles whose durability is calculated only for the duration of the collision, ignoring the force of the impact.A similar thing happened with the Moonlander's top cover. * Hot Rod, seemingly based on a Ford Hot Rod model. But this Hot Rod is maybe explode.
