Hot Rod is one of the Vehicles available in the game Hill Climb Racing 2.
Overview
The Hot Rod is a dangerous but also fast vehicle. Its suspension is quite weak compared to the most other vehicles, but it has implemented a special ability concerning the speed: overheating the engine. Holding the acceleration pedal down will overheat the engine, which will gain the vehicle an immense speed boost, but also increase the fuel consumption, similar to the Afterburner Tuning Part. If you accelerate even longer, your engine will blow up, causing you to lose the ability to accelerate for a moment. You can do this three times... after the third time the engine of the Hot Rod explodes, it gets split in two parts (back and front) and the driver will jump off the car and dies after hitting the ground. This ability can't be deactivated and will always be part of the Hot Rod. This makes the Hot Rod less suitable for Adventure modes, but all the more useful in Time Trials and Cups. It accelerates fast to its top speed due to the overheating ability, but also uses fuel quickly due to it.
This vehicle has a rollcage assembly by default, a strong one, which is a good advantage for tracks with many roofs or even tracks with the Mines theme.

The Hot Rod comes with 11 different paints and 11 different wheels that can be obtained (VIP paint and wheel aren't included, but you can get it with VIP subscription). After purchasing, it has free yellow paint and a wheel to start with.
