Monowheel is one of the vehicles available in the game Hill Climb Racing 2.
Overview[]
“One wheel ought to be enough for anybody” - Bill Newton.
The Monowheel can be a fun vehicle to drive, because the Monowheel has good speed, strong grip, relatively superior stability on the ground, and really good tuning parts, making it good on Hill Climbing. Monowheel has a great top speed, being faster than vehicles like Super Diesel & Lowrider. Using Fuel Boost, Nitro or other parts will all provide good gameplay on Time Trials but Monowheel provides the worst amount of protection to the driver; it has nothing to protect the occupant and cannot tolerate hard landings easily without leaning the character forward or backwards to prevent the driver from crashing to the ground. Unfortunately, the Rollcage Tuning Part is unavailable for Monowheel. (However, unlocking Mastery allows for the addition of a head-exclusive Rollcage, though it is not very durable.)
Monowheel has 1 unique feature, Stability, also referred to as Gyro Strength, which inreases the vehicle's ability to tilt back while climbing hills. This upgrade is incredibly useful, as it makes Monowheel easier to drive and better on hills and bumps which can make it a good choice in uphill team events. Monowheel also has the Air Control feature to help support landings and avoid ceiling crashes, and the Air Control tuning part provides little to no effect, even when the Air Control part is at max level.
NOTE: If you don't equip any holdable material before pressing "start", the coffee cup will appear on the player's holdable item. The Coffee Cup helps support the Driver and cannot be removed. A holdable object will take place of the object if you have one and press "Start". You can equip a flying object that goes onto to the driver's body, and also keep the coffee cup, which may be the best idea when playing Monowheel.
Masteries[]
After the 1.61.0 Update, Fingersoft added some buffs for Monowheel. Monowheel was the 4th vehicle to receive Mastery in Hill Climb Racing 2. See Sports Car for information about how to unlock Mastery.
Monowheel only requires 75,000 XP per mastery, but Monowheel is perhaps the most difficult vehicle to get XP with, as you can't do wheelies with it at all, and Monowheel is really bad at doing flips. The only good way is by playing cups.
Here are Monowheel's masteries:
About Monowheel's masteries: The 1st Mastery, Core Strength, is decent, as it makes the driver more stable on bumps and hard landings, and also fixes the problem where launch pads and Jump Shock activations can make the driver bend downward towards the ground permanently. But it still doesn't mean that you are less likely to die with it. You still have to be very careful when driving with it. The 2nd mastery, Overdrive, gives a decent speed boost to Monowheel. Makes it quite fast but since monowhee's protection is very bad, its hard to get good value from this mastery. However, it can be useful on uphill maps. The 3rd Mastery, perhaps the best one, Rollcage, makes Monowheel a lot safer and easier to play with, and also makes it less frustrating to play with. However, the rollcage is fragile, so it is recommended to save it for when you are really in a hurry to get the next fuel or if you are in a tight or bumpy area. And as always, the 4th mastery is incredibly useful, monowheel has really good parts which makes Monowheel much better in all game modes and allows for lots of new strategies and part combinations to be made.
Monowheel is still not a top tier vehicle in any game mode, even with Mastery, as soon all vehicles will have it and Monowheel won't be as impressive anymore. Not many improvements have been done in Adventure, and Time Trials has improved quite a bit.

Trivia[]
- Monowheel is actually a Hoverboard.
- Bill Newton's quote in the vehicle's description is a reference to a legend in computing history that Bill Gates once said, “640k ought to be enough for anybody” while describing the RAM limit of the IBM PC at a trade show in 1981.
- It was possible get Monowheel Wheelie tasks even though Monowheel cannot perform wheelies. This glitch most likely fixed now.
