Racing Truck is one of the vehicles available in the game Hill Climb Racing 2.
Overview[]
You thought trucks were slow? Think again.
The Racing Truck is a fast, heavy vehicle that is more focused on speed, but is an excellent choice for nearly anything. With a top speed of 33.34 m/s (120 km/h) and 44.45 m/s (160 km/h) (with mastery), it is the second fastest vehicle in the game after the Hoverbike as of the 1.60.0 update.
Though it may be slow at the start, it has impressive acceleration and good climbing capabilities, along with a heavy weight and decent suspension. The Racing Truck is also great for Adventure maps due to the fuel capacity. However, it is rigid, so it cannot maneuver as much as other cars (almost comparable to the Tank). If ever used in cups, using the Start Boost Tuning Part is the key for getting fast acceleration. Due to the slow build-up and downfall of the Boost meter, Overcharged Turbo on Racing Truck doesn't work that well because releasing the gas pedal briefly will not affect the Boost meter enough to reset Overcharged Turbo.
When you get very fast with it, it's nearly unstoppable. The only way to reduce speed without tipping over is getting it in the air to use the drag, which is a big obstruction in adventure mode. Before the v1.29 patch, on some devices, the vehicle was overpowered for mainly flat adventure maps because of it's insane speed and high fuel duration, back when air drag didn't work, but only until it's drag was changed. Now getting in the air does almost stop you and you can't get as far as before this patch.
The Racing Truck has a Spoiler on the back, which produces downforce, which comes in handy for Stay On The Ground Team Event Tracks. However, breaking off the spoiler works best with Adventure maps because it improves balance and air time.
Similar to the rally car, the engine can be made to smoke. But on the Racing Truck this is harder to archive. To do this, the silver-colored air intake on the front must be bent by hitting it against the ground, ceiling or any other obstacle. This works very well on uphill slopes because you can rotate backwards to not land on roof. After long enough hits to air intake the engine starts to smoke. This improves acceleration and reduces the tendency to tipping forwards, especially if the rear spoiler has been removed.
Mastery[]
After the 1.61.0 Update, Fingersoft added some buffs for Racing Truck. These buffs can be unlocked after maxing out the vehicle's tunes. Said buffs make the vehicle better.
Racing Truck's masteries focus on improving its ability in the air, which is a big weakness the Racing Truck always had. Its first mastery, Streamline, has been a greatly requested change ever since the vehicle was added, and massively improves its general performance especially in tracks where the racing truck gains a lot of airtime. This is because it no longer loses speed when in the air due to drag, Sky Master complements this by giving it better control in the air. Overboost gives a hearty buff to its tuning parts as it increases its boost speed, and just like every other mastery, it receives a 4th tuning part slot which allows for many new tactics and setups.
Customization[]
See Vehicle Paints List for pictures and more information.
The Racing Truck comes with 7 different paints and 9 different wheels that can be obtained (VIP paint and wheel aren't included, but you can get it with VIP subscription). After purchasing, it has free blue-orange paint and a wheel to start with.
Trivia[]
- Racing Truck is seemingly based on a short MACK race edition truck.
- Racing Truck's front part is based in Hill Climb Racing Truck's front part. We can see.
