Raider is one of the vehicles available in Hill Climb Racing 2.
Overview[]
Beware, built for raiding bumpy roads!
The Raider has an excellent top speed, but its grip is horrible. It having a 130 grip stat makes it the 2nd worst vehicle in terms of grip, only rivaled by Rally Car, at 120. It has the same fuel duration as Rock Bouncer, being 45 seconds.
Just like Rally Car, it features a hood, and a decent built-in rollcage that can be broken off. The spare tire on the back is also detachable, as it can be launched off by maintaining the brake pedal then quickly double-tapping the gas pedal. Activating spare wheel launch causes the Raider to rotate slightly counterclockwise while providing a modest speed boost. The spare wheel can be reattached to the vehicle if it falls back on the spare wheel compartment. This ability, when used correctly, can prevent player death when their vehicle is overturned while equipped with the rollcage, and be used to clear hills that would otherwise be hit when airborne.
Also, in Wheelie events, the spare wheel also does not cause the end of the run when touching the ground, so keeping it attached to the trunk allows you to use the spare wheel as a "secondary back wheel" when the vehicle is tilted upwards, making the vehicle more balanced and secure.
Its suspension is similar to Rock Bouncer being rather bouncy, allowing it to travel on bumpy terrain quite easily. It has all the tuning parts except for rollcage because of the already existing roof.
Performance[]
The Raider is excellent in Adventure. The strong protection and powerful features of the Raider makes it recommended for beginners. The Kangaroo setup is also pretty decent, and can help for no-fuel in longer distances. The very low grip can be problematic though, it needs momentum to climb the steeper hills.
It can get 10km+ on every normal map and 4km+ on every special map even without Masteries.
Customization[]
See Vehicle Paints List for pictures and more information.
The Raider has 16 paints and 12 wheels for customization (excluding VIP). After purchasing, it has a free red paint, and a wheel to start with.
The spare tire is included in the wheels customization, changing the wheels design gives the spare time the same design as the wheels.
Trivia[]
- The Raider has a different Thrusters tuning part design, which is wider than normal. The name of it in the game files is thruster_big_boy.png.
- The spare tire can also equip Winter Tires.
