Snowmobile is one of the vehicles available in the game Hill Climb Racing 2.
Overview[]
Plough your way through the snow… and water!
The Snowmobile is an average vehicle, with decent and fast acceleration but slow pre-mastery top speed. It has a rigid suspension, making it less suited for stunts (Except over water pools) as well as making the vehicle dangerous to use on bumpy roads, and occasionally on races. Despite having the highest engine power in the game, at 700, Snowmobile is the 2nd slowest vehicle so far pre-mastery.
The Snowmobile also has the second biggest fuel tank in the game with a whopping maximum of 56 seconds, tied with Tank and just behind Bus, which is very helpful for Adventure.
This vehicle also has a unique ski ability, which allows it to glide over water pools, causing much less drag than when driving under them. The ski is initiated by feathering the brake while holding down the accelerator when on a water pool. This works well on Adventure maps like "City" as it helps to prevent drowning. It can be difficult to master this, but with practice, this can propel the vehicle significantly. The glide will end when the Snowmobile ceases to ski, causing it to drop under water. Landing head-on with the ski will cause the Snowmobile to bounce up.
The ski can cause a lot of ground drag when on normal roads, making it a lot slower, but the drag isn’t that strong on icy roads. This drag results in very bad friction, handicapping its ability to gain speed. The Snowmobile is probably the one of few worst vehicles to use in time trials because of its speed, major friction, and lack of stunt performance. Snowmobile also cannot roll at all, so running out of fuel is an instant game over for Adventure.
As if the friction wasn't a problem already, Snowmobile also has a super low RPM limit that cannot be surpassed at all. This further reduces the ability to gain any speed, especially on downhills.
As mentioned before, the Snowmobile has a ski, so the Snowmobile can easily bounce if it lands on it. It can be broken if it snags on a stone or a non-snowy surface from high areas or diagonal ski landings. The ski is much harder to detach on snowy/icy surfaces. Lowering the ski level to 1 will help to break it easier, but it will lower the tracks' grip, making it slightly harder to climb steep hills. Without the ski, the suspension weakens, making it easier to crash into walls and harder to stop, but friction is a lot less.
Snowmobile can still perform exceptionally well in Adventure on short distance maps or maps where fuels are decently spaced due to its large fuel tank and great climbing ability.

Mastery[]
In the 1.65.0 Update, Fingersoft added some buffs for Snowmobile. These buffs can be unlocked after maxing out the vehicle's tunes. Each of the buffs make the vehicle better in various ways.
XP required for each level: 25,000
Additional XP gaining method: Drive on water.
Snowmobile's masteries are some of the best in terms of completely transforming a vehicle! This vehicle becomes so much better in Time Trials and Water Run events because of these incredible buffs. Wheel Kit replaces the ski with a wheel, which may seem weird at first, but actually fixes a lot of flaws this vehicle had! Snowmobile can now roll with and without fuel, friction is now gone, the vehicle can reverse a lot better, and it can now drive very smoothly on all terrain, not just snowy maps! The low RPM limit still remains though. Hydrodynamics improves Snowmobile's driving on water, increasing its speed by a lot and nearly removing water drag. This makes it better on City and any map with water in general. The most powerful mastery, Overdrive, increases the top speed by over 25%! This makes Snowmobile go from the 2nd slowest to being faster than Hill Climber and Scooter! Now Snowmobile can improve in Time Trials drastically, and get even further in Adventure! The 4th part is also amazing, as all the parts work way better with Wheel Kit now! Snowmobile got the glowup of the decade with these masteries.
Unlockables[]
See Vehicle Paints List for pictures and more information.
The Snowmobile has 11 different paints that can be obtained (VIP paint isn't included, but you can get it with VIP Subscription). After purchasing, it has free orange paint to start with. NOTE: the style and color of the Snowmobile tracks, ski, and mastery-exclusive wheel cannot be changed. The legendary paints on Snowmobile have a shorter windshield than the other paints. Also, 1 legendary paint appears to change Snowmobile's vehicle shape, but the performance is the same.
Trivia[]
- Snowmobile is seemingly based on a sportive snowmobile.
- When the driver dies, the snowmobile's engine is visible when the front part opens up on the front. This engine, which only appears after hard impacts, appears to be a 4-cylinder engine.
- Snowmobile and Tank's characteristics seem to be an opposite version of their HCR1 counterparts, as while Tank is faster than Snowmobile in HCR2, Tank is way slower in HCR1, and Snowmobile is way faster. Both vehicles in HCR2 also have a significantly higher fuel duration ratio than the vehicle's in HCR1, with their fuel durations only being around average compared to other vehicles in the game at maximum level.
- Snowmobile's engine sound is a pitched down and slower version of Motocross' engine sound, which means Snowmobile is one of 2 vehicles without a unique engine sound in HCR2, with the other being Glider.
